UST Tester III – Software Testing

UST is hiring a Tester III for its Trivandrum office to work on automation testing for enterprise applications. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, API testing (Rest Assured, Postman), and mobile automation (Appium). The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, execute functional, regression, and integration testing, validate backend data with SQL, and participate in Agile ceremonies. The position requires strong Java skills and experience with SDLC/STLC, defect management, and continuous quality improvement.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks. • Develop Selenium and Playwright automation scripts. • Perform Web UI automation testing. • Execute API automation using Rest Assured and Postman. • Validate backend data using SQL queries. • Perform Mobile Automation Testing with Appium (Android and iOS). • Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing. • Collaborate with developers on defect analysis. • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives). • Maintain automation suites and improve test coverage. • Track defects using standard defect management tools. • Prepare execution reports and quality metrics. • Support production releases and post-deployment validation. • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

3–5 years of experience in software testing, strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Core Java (OOP, collections, multithreading, Java 8), REST API testing (Rest Assured, Postman), mobile automation (Appium, Android, iOS), database testing (SQL), and familiarity with SDLC/STLC, defect management, Agile methodology. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
