Test Engineer – Functional Testing (Automotive Domain)

KPIT is seeking highly motivated testing professionals who can independently manage testing activities and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and quality engineering professionals to ensure comprehensive validation of automotive software applications. The role requires strong expertise in Functional Testing along with the ability to design effective test scenarios, execute test cases, identify defects, and provide actionable insights that improve software quality. Candidates with exposure to the Automotive Domain, particularly DTC Authoring, will have an added advantage. This position provides an opportunity to work on innovative automotive technologies while strengthening your expertise in quality assurance and software validation.

Planning and executing Functional Testing activities. Performing application-related testing and validation. Conducting Web Application Testing and UI Testing. Designing positive, negative, and edge test cases. Executing Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Functional Testing cycles. Tracking testing progress and reporting status updates. Identifying project risks and proposing mitigation plans. Collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders. Managing defects through JIRA and Test Management tools. Supporting effort estimation and issue resolution activities. Ensuring software quality standards are consistently maintained.

Strong experience in Functional Testing. Hands-on expertise in Application Testing. Experience with Web-Based Application Testing. Knowledge of UI Testing practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience using JIRA and Test Management tools. Understanding of Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and Functional Testing. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience designing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
