QA Engineer – Automation & Manual Testing

Virtusa is actively hiring QA Engineers with strong expertise in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, Selenium, Playwright, API Testing, Java, SQL, and Agile methodologies. The selected candidates will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure application quality across UI, APIs, and enterprise systems. This role requires professionals who can independently design automation scripts, execute manual and automated tests, identify defects, and contribute throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle. Candidates should have strong expertise in Selenium or Playwright automation, API testing using Postman or REST Assured, Core Java, SQL, and Agile practices. Immediate joiners with recent hands-on experience in UI and API testing are strongly preferred.

Design and execute Manual and Automation Test Cases; Develop and maintain Selenium or Playwright automation frameworks; Perform UI, Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing; Execute API Testing using Postman and REST Assured; Validate backend data using SQL queries; Design reusable automation scripts using POM and TestNG; Perform BDD testing using Cucumber; Log and track defects efficiently; Collaborate with developers during defect resolution; Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives; Generate execution reports and testing metrics; Ensure software quality throughout the SDLC.
