Python Developer / Analyst

BlackRock is expanding its Investment and Portfolio Solutions Technology team in Mumbai and is looking for an enthusiastic Python Developer to become part of its Global Product Solutions organization. This role focuses on building scalable software platforms that improve investment research, portfolio analytics, and client solutions used by global financial institutions. As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will develop modular applications, contribute to technology strategy, work with modern cloud technologies, and gain exposure to one of the worlds most sophisticated investment ecosystems. The position offers an excellent blend of software engineering, cloud development, financial technology, and product innovation.

Develop scalable Python applications for portfolio analytics and investment solutions. Design modular and reusable software components. Build efficient APIs and backend services. Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and engineering teams. Participate in software architecture and technology planning. Build cloud-ready applications for multiple deployment environments. Improve business efficiency through technology solutions. Work with SQL databases and financial datasets. Maintain high software quality through testing and code reviews. Participate in Agile sprint planning and execution. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies for future implementations.

Strong Python programming skills, SQL query writing, Flask API fundamentals, cloud technologies (Azure), Docker, REST APIs, Agile methodologies, software architecture, Git version control, and strong communication skills. Interest in financial technology and investment platforms is beneficial but not mandatory.
