Data Analyst at Barclays

Join the Research Metrics team within the Global Research Centre to optimize research outcomes, maximize the value of Barclays' research products, and support data-driven monetization strategies. Produce regular and ad-hoc Management Information (MI) and compliance exception reports for business management and client strategy teams. Integrate large datasets from multiple technical sources and specialty feeds, distilling raw metrics into structured analytical models. Support Research Sales and Client Strategy teams with actionable insights regarding client consumption trends and global revenue reporting. Partner directly with business leads and IT to define data onboarding requirements, orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and secure formal project sign-offs. Deliver and maintain interactive tracking tools and advanced visual reporting dashboards using Tableau, SAP Business Objects (SAP BO), and Microsoft Excel. Maintain business-as-usual (BAU) reporting frameworks and client feeds, fixing processing errors immediately to prevent delivery disruptions.

Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel with proven experience building automated data workflows using Excel Macros, lookup matrices, and spreadsheet formatting models. Direct hands-on experience in data visualization and reporting analytics using Tableau or closely related enterprise BI infrastructure. Foundational conceptual understanding of global financial markets, equity and debt financial instruments, and investment research business models. Sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving analytics guided by factual precedents, and a proactive, resourceful team-player approach. Absolute flexibility to consistently operate during UK business hours in a fast-paced, time-sensitive banking network. Exceptional written and verbal English communication style, demonstrating confidence to present data insights clearly to cross-border stakeholders.
