Calix is hiring Graduate Trainees for its Security Engineering and Threat Intelligence teams. In this role, candidates will work on network security, threat detection, and cybersecurity research. You will gain hands-on experience in analyzing network attacks, building detection systems, and working with real-world cybersecurity tools and technologies. This role is ideal for candidates interested in Cyber Security, Networking, and Threat Intelligence domains.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with security engineers to analyze network-based attacks. Perform packet-level analysis using tools like Wireshark and Zeek. Develop and test detection signatures for IPS/NIDS systems. Work on Python-based automation tools for security workflows. Conduct OSINT research for threats, IoCs, and attack patterns. Create technical documentation, reports, and playbooks. Assist in building simulated attack scenarios for testing. Support threat intelligence lifecycle and research activities.
Requirements
Strong understanding of Computer Networking. Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, and IDS systems. Basic knowledge of Cyber Threat Intelligence. Programming knowledge in Python. Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments. Understanding of security tools (Wireshark, Snort, Suricata, tcpdump). Analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills. Preferred: Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework. Experience in Network Security or Packet Analysis. Understanding of malware attack techniques. Hands-on cybersecurity projects or coursework. Research mindset and attention to detail.
